PARK PROJECT STATUS UPDATE JUNE 2026!

We are very excited to announce this update to the status last reported in March 2026! Thanks to the unexpected generosity and community spirit of 2 local residents and licensed construction contractors, our timber frame pavilion project plans have radically changed. We now have line of sight to completing this project potentially by this fall at only 20% of the $350,000 cost we had previously estimated.

We have ordered a 20’ x 36’ Alpine Pavilion kit from Country Lane Gazebos of New Holland, PA. This company has a legacy of Amish craftsmanship of over 30 years and offered us a significant non-profit discount. After the expected delivery of the kit in the month of August, it will be installed along with a concrete foundation by the aforementioned residents/contractors in their free time, given their full-time jobs. We still need some electrical work done to provide power outlets and lighting to the pavilion structure to facilitate the many future welcoming events, like concerts, we envision hosting there.

We submitted a permit modification to Kitsap County for the slight design change and it is currently under official review. In addition to available funds on hand, we just need another $20,000 to cover the electrical work needed, gutters and downspouts and other contingencies.
